Terms and Conditions

Reservations & Payment

  • A 60% deposit is required to secure and confirm your reservation at Pearl View Guest House.
  • The outstanding balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival. For reservations made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required to secure and confirm the reservation.
  • A reservation will only be regarded as confirmed once the required payment has been received and booking confirmation has been issued by Pearl View Guest House.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations and amendments must be submitted in writing via email.
  • The following cancellation policy applies to direct reservations:

0–7 days prior to arrival, including non-arrivals: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
8–14 days prior to arrival: Forfeit 75% of deposit.
15–21 days prior to arrival: Forfeit 50% of deposit.
22–29 days prior to arrival: Forfeit 25% of deposit.
30 days or more prior to arrival: Full refund, excluding applicable bank charges.
No-shows and early departures are non-refundable.

  • Reservations made through third-party booking platforms or travel partners may be subject to the payment and cancellation terms applicable to that specific reservation or platform.

Rates

  • All rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Unless otherwise stated, accommodation rates include breakfast.
  • Special offers, packages and promotional rates may be subject to additional or specific terms and conditions.

Check-in & Check-out

  • Guests are requested to adhere to the check-in and check-out times provided in their booking confirmation.
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability, must be arranged in advance and may incur an additional charge.
  • Guests are requested to advise Pearl View Guest House of their estimated arrival time prior to arrival.

Occupancy

  • Rooms and suites may only accommodate the number of guests confirmed on the reservation.
  • Additional guests or visitors may not stay overnight without prior approval from Pearl View Guest House. Additional charges may apply where applicable.

Guest Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied when making a reservation is accurate.
  • It is the guest's responsibility to review their booking confirmation, payment requirements, cancellation policy and applicable Terms & Conditions and to notify Pearl View Guest House of any discrepancies prior to arrival.

Damage, Breakages & Loss

  • Guests are expected to take reasonable care of the property, furnishings, equipment and amenities provided during their stay.
  • Any damage, breakages or loss should be reported to management as soon as possible.
  • Pearl View Guest House reserves the right to recover the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing property that is damaged, broken, lost or removed during a guest's stay where the guest, their visitors or a member of their party is responsible.

Personal Belongings

  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay and are encouraged to make use of the facilities provided for the safekeeping of valuables where available.
  • Pearl View Guest House cannot accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Smoking

  • Smoking is not permitted inside guest rooms, suites or indoor common areas.
  • Guests who wish to smoke are requested to do so in appropriate outdoor areas and to dispose of cigarette waste responsibly.

Guest Conduct

  • Guests are requested to respect the property, fellow guests, staff and the surrounding residential environment.
  • Excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, unlawful activity, intentional damage or conduct that may endanger or unreasonably disturb other guests or staff will not be permitted.
  • Pearl View Guest House reserves the right to take reasonable action, including terminating a stay where appropriate, in cases of serious misconduct or material breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Facilities & Safety

  • Guests are requested to use the facilities at Pearl View Guest House responsibly and to comply with any safety instructions or property rules communicated by management.
  • Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult when using shared facilities, including the swimming pool and outdoor areas.

Maintenance & Unforeseen Circumstances

  • Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that the facilities and amenities advertised by Pearl View Guest House are available and operational.
  • From time to time, maintenance requirements, utility interruptions, weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect the availability of certain facilities or services. Where possible, management will endeavor to address these matters as quickly as reasonably possible.

Acceptance of Terms

  • By confirming a reservation with Pearl View Guest House, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood and accepted the applicable booking terms, payment requirements, cancellation policy and Terms & Conditions.

Any special arrangements or amendments agreed to by Pearl View Guest House must be confirmed in writing.
